The door was firmly wedged shut, and felt like it was barricaded with the entire contents of the room. No matter how much she pushed and shoved at it, it refused to budge. It seemed like Jirios was inside, but Rose knew all too well the abilities of an assassin; if he wanted to leave his room like that and leave, he had the power to do it. But no, if she listened hard enough, she could hear soft, familiar gasps inside. The assassin was in pain, that much she could tell.

He leaned forward and gently kissed her cheek, closing his eyes tightly.
